Dakar Rally: Stage Nine

Marc Coma continues to keep ahead of the pack following stage nine of the Dakar Rally.

The Spaniard on his KTM now sits 54 minutes 36 seconds ahead of his nearest rival, Cyril Despres, following their third and second places respectively.

The 497km ride between Tichit and Nema on day eight was won by Janis Vinters on his KTM 660 in a time of 6:08:51.

Steve Malone is in 113th place on his KTM following stage nine after completing the day in 9:43:28 and 99th place.

Fellow Brit Paul Broome completed the 497km run in 111th on his Honda with a time of 10:07:02 and now sits in overall 116th.
