Halsam on Brands pole

Leon Haslam has secured pole position with a perfectly timed run in the final qualifying session for the final round of the British Superbike championship at Brands Hatch.

With 15 minutes left in the hour long session Haslam put in his fastest lap and pushed his way to the top of the table. The rain started to fall just he finished his lap preventing anyone from putting in a better lap.

His closest rivals in the championship, Greorio Lavilla and Ryuichi Kiyonari both start from the second row.

Shane Byrne took the second fastest lap ahead of Michael Rutter and Johnny Rea.
