Brit MX starts in March

The 2006 Maxxis British Motocross Championship will kick off on March 12, with the first round at Cadders Hill, Lyng in Norfolk.

The round not only starts the British Championship, but with similar terrain to the first round of the world championships, it offer the opportunity of extra practice for riders competing in both series. You’ll also be able to see world title challengers Tanel Leok and Marc De Reuver, who will race as wildcards.

In MX1, Josh Coppins will be title favourite following his success in 2005, but he’ll be up against James Noble, Ken de Dycker, Neville Bradshaw, Gordon Crockard and Jussi Vehvilainen. And he’ll also be facing a challenge from Dutch MX2 champion Stephen Sword.

Meanwhile in MX2 Carl Nunn will defend his title against the likes of Billy Mackenzie, Brad Anderson, and Youth Championship graduates Ray Rowson, Richie Leech and Shane Carless. Plus for the first round he’ll also have to contact with Marc De Reuver.
