Haslam top after day 1

Leon Haslam has once again beaten the HM Plant Honda’s of Ryuichi Kiyonari and Karl Harris to the top spot in the second free practice session at Oulton Park.

Haslam beat his earlier time by three tenths of a second and put Kiyo in second place by 0.16 seconds.

Once again the final place on the front row of the provisional grid goes to Rizla Suzuki’s Shayne Byrne who lapped over half a second slower than Haslam.

Jonny Rea stepped up ahead of Gregorio Lavilla to take the fifth fastest lap ahead of Tommy Hill and Michael Rutter.
