Harris storms to pole

1 of 1

Karl Harris has qualified on pole for British Superbikes second visit to Oulton Park.

The HM Plant Honda rider took the top spot after setting a lap six tenths of a second faster than the pole lap at the previous Oulton round.

Harris set the time on the very last lap of the session after spending all his time fighting for the top of the leaderboard with Airwaves Ducati rider Leon Haslam.

Haslam eventually had to settle for second place two-tenths of a second behind Harris.

Harris’ team-mate Ryuichi Kiyonari took the third spot on the grid ahead of Jonny Rea.

Suzuki rider Shayne Byrne heads the second row ahead of Tommy Hill, Michael Rutter and Gregorio Lavilla.
