First practice to Haslam

Leon Haslam has topped the first free practice session for British Superbikes’ second visit to Oulton Park this season after putting in the most laps of any rider.

Haslam completed 24 laps to beat the HM Plant Hondas of Karl Harris and Ryuichi Kiyonari by three tenths of a second with Rizla Suzuki rider Shayne Byrne taking the final position on the front of the provisional grid.

Gregorio Lavilla came in fifth fastest on the Airwaves Ducati followed by Michael Rutter, Johnny Rea and Tommy Hill.
