British rider David Knight yet again showed his dominance of the Enduro 3 world championship as he became the unofficial fastest rider in any class at the GP of Canada on Sunday, July 17, 2006.

Knight managed to top his class by a massive three and a half minutes at the end of the opening day, and extended his lead on the second day to almost five minutes, claiming a one-two with team-mate Marko Tarkkala. Knight comfortably topped all nine of the second day’s special tests.

“I hadn’t been on a bike since the last race in Italay so felt a little rusty on day one. I started steadily and just built up my speed,” said Knight. “The enduro test was really difficult because there were so many tight corners, rocks, tree roots and ruts. I also felt a little groggy, which i think was because of the heat.”

The E1 class was won by Simone Albergoni, with Ivan Cervantes second and Bartosz Oblucki third. In the E2 class victory went to Samuli Aro from Mika Ahola and Johnny Aubert.
