Virgin line-up announced

The Virgin Mobile Yamaha BSB squad for 2006 has been officially announced, with all three riders under 22 years of age.

Heading the team is 21-year-old Tommy Hill, alongside Kieran Clarke (21), and 2005 Virgin Mobile Cup winner, Billy McConnell (19).

“It has been my dream right from day one to have a team completely made up of Virgin Mobile Cup riders and this year it has come true,” said team boss Rob McElnea.

In the 2005 British Superbikes championship, Hill finished in 12th place on the Yamaha R1, despite winning his first race in the series. Kieran Clarke finished 18th on a Honda.
