Minimoto conference

A conference has been organised by the ACU for anyone dealing with illegal and antisocial minibike use.

To be held at Staverton Park, near Daventry, on May 3-4, 2006, the event will reveal how damaging the problem is becoming and will present a number of approaches that have proven effective to date. The provision of guidelines and safe facilities is a proven part of countering illegal mini bikes and related problems, and the conference will discuss how local authorities can implement these emasures successfully and positively.

The conference is organised by the Auto Cycle Union’s Local Authority Support Unit, and CruiseSport, with backing from Motorsport Development UK.

"This conference is about turning a social problem into a recreational opportunity by channeling the vehicle users’ obvious enthusiasm into various forms of organsied motorsport. The solutions really can be good for all concerned," said Motosport Development UK head Martin Fellows.
