Everts wins 'warm-up'

Stefan Everts has won his second pre-season motocross warm-up at the Perns Les Fontaines Internatioanl meeting in France.

The Belgian claimed both MX1 Moto wins, against many of his rivals for the 2006 MX1 championship, including Honda’s Josh Coppins, KTM’s Mikael Pichon and Sebastien Tortelli, and Suzuki’s Steve Ramon. Everts aims to win his tenth career title in his final Grand Prix season. British Kawasaki rider Stephen Sword took sixth and seventh to claim fourth place overall at the meeting.

The final race before the season begins is at Hawkstone Park in England on march 5, with the 2006 FINM World Championship kicking off at Zolder in belgium on April 1/2 2006.
