Jonathan Rea has gone fastest in the first practice session for the Croft round of the British Superbike championship.

Rea posted a time of 1:20.512 on his Red Bull Honda to top the time sheets from the works Honda of Karl Harris, the Airwwaves Ducati of Leon Haslam and the Rizla Suzuki of Shane Byrne.

Championship leader Ryuichi Kiyonari is sixth fastest, just behind reigning champion and close rival Gregorio Lavilla.
