Double flip wins X games

Motocross madman Travis Pastrana has performed the first ever double backflip at an official competition after landing the trick at the summer X-Games.

Pastrana mastered the incredibly dangerous trick and performed it for the first time on camera for one of his DVDs at the end of last year and subsequently promised his family he would never do it again.

But the American opted to put on the trick one more time in front of massive crowds at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

Unsurprisingly the trick won him the competition.
