Troy Bayliss is on provisional pole for the World Superbike round at Brands Hatch.

The factory Xerox Ducati rider posted a time of 1:26.272 to put himself first on the grid, followed by Troy Corser, Noriyuki Haga and Andrew Pitt. Top British rider is Chris Walker, who went sixth fastest on the PSG-1 Kawasaki ZX-10R.

Wildcard Tommy Hill moved up one place from free practice, when he was ninth quickest, to move into eighth on the Virgin Mobile Yamaha, while james Toseland was 11th on the Ten Kate Honda. Craig Jones was 21st on the FP-1, one place ahead of team-mate Steve Martin.
