Kirkham switches team

Jon Kirkham has parted company with the Jentin Racing team, and will ride for the new Scuderia Stellare outfit at the British Superbike round at Oulton Park on Monday, May 1, 2006.

The Scuderia Stellare team aims to foster both young riders and technical personnel, with a partnership with the University of Naples. The University will develop various experimental components and other engineering initiatives for the Suzuki GSX-R1000, in addition to providing several team personnel.

The team came together at the start of the 2006 season, but the project has only come to fruition for the Oulton Park round, with several top teams providing crucial support to make it happen.
