Triple British Superbike Champion John Reynolds will lead a ride-in to Hawick on Saturday October 1 to unveil a bronze statue of Steve Hislop – who died in a helicopter tragedy in 2003.

Created by sculptor David Annand, the event is the highlight of the annual Steve Hislop Memorial Run.

You can join the ride-in from a range of points, listed on page two of this story. The unveiling ceremony itself will take place at Wilton Lodge Park, Hawick at 1pm.

Friends of the late Hizzy, including organisers Alan Duffus and Jeff Henthorne, will conduct formalities before JR and BSB reporter and long term Hislop confidant Larry Carter, say a few words.

After, fans are welcome to visit the Steve Hislop Commemorative room in Hawick or the memorial cairn at the crash site – as well as the Jimmy Guthrie rooms at Wilton Lodge Park.

To join this ride, meet at the points listed on page 2 of this story. All ride-ins will gather at the Woollen Mill car park at Jedburgh for a 12noon departure to the unveiling in Hawick.
