Grasstrack cancelled

The Dunmow Motorcycle Club have cancelled their Grass Track event due to take place on Sunday September 25 at Ugley Hall Farm, Ugley, near Stansted, Essex.

It is – indirectly – a victim of the DEFRA restrictions on running events on agricultural land. Its impact earlier in the season caused a number of events to be cancelled and then rescheduled for later in the season.

The resulting glut of events means there are not enough riders available to put on an event of the quality normally expected at Ugley.

The Dunmow Club is now looking forward to 2006 in the hope that it can run all its scheduled events as normal.
