Costello debut at NW200

Maria Costello will test this week in preparation for her debut at the North West 200 on May 21, 2005.

The fastest woman around the TT course plans to race in both 600cc and 400cc classes at the Irish roadrace. She will ride the RLR Motorsports RVF400 for the first time on Wednesday, May 11 at Mallory Park, just 10 days before the race meeting.

Her bike already has a good pedigree, having won the 2003 and 2004 Lightweight TT. It has been built to the same spec as the 2004 NW200-winning RVF ridden by John McGuinness.

“I’m looking forward to testing the bike, it will be a perfect shake down before the NW 200,” said Costello.
