Carmichael's seventh win

Suzuki rider Ricky Carmichael increased his lead in the US AMA Supercross Championship to 35 points with his seventh win of the season at St Louis.

The 25-year-old led all the way during the 20-lap Main Event at the ninth round of the season. Second place went to reigning champion Chad Reed with Kevin Windham third. Carmichael also picked up a $1500 bonus for the holeshot at the start of the race.

In the 125cc event Grant Langston won the race with Davi Millsaps gaining an impessive second, having dropped to 15th place. Joshua Hansen claimed the third spot.
