Trouble for Sendo

1 of 1

Steve Plater’s Sendo Kawasaki squad were absent from the Knockhill round of British Superbikes, despite Plater turning up to the Scottish track.

The team’s main sponsor, Sendo, is currently in the process of being bought by telecoms giant Motorola and while the deal is going through there is no cash for the race team.

Plater wasn’t told about the situation until Wednesday morning but still went to the round.

The team hopes to be back on track by Snetterton but Plater said he is open to offers from any other teams looking for riders.

Team-mate John Kirkham is injured and wasn’t scheduled to ride at Knockhill.
