Lougher wins Junior TT

Ian Lougher has won the Junior Supersport TT onboard a Honda CBR600RR.

After taking a second place in the Superstock race Lougher went on to take his seventh TT race win in the 600 race.

Lougher, who has been riding the TT for 21 years, was fighting for the lead with Ryan Farquhar but the Kawasaki rider was forced to retire on lap three while in the lead, leaving Lougher with a clear advantage over second-place man John McGuinness.

By the time they crossed the line Lougher had extended his lead to almost 23 seconds over McGuinness.

Richard Britton looked set to take third place but had to retire half way throught the final lap leaving local man Jason Griffiths to take the final place on the podium.
