Michael Rutter has gone fastest in the first practice session for the British Superbike round at croft on Sunday, June 5, 2005.

Rutter recorded a time of 1:21.958 on the HM Plant Honda, to head the session ahead of Hawk Kawasaki rider Dean Thomas, and HM Plant team-mate Ryuichi Kiyonari. Reigning champion John Reynolds went 10th quickest in his return to to racing.

In the British Supersport class, Tom Sykes was fastest in first pratice, heading Pere Riba, Stuart Easton and Leon Camier.

And some of the top riders will compete again on Friday, June 3, as they take part in the annual BSB charity football match, against celebrities and media. The game kicks off at 7.30pm with a minimum donation of £3 per person to St Teresa’s Hospice in Darlington. It takes place at Darlington Rugby Club, Grange Road, Darlington.
