Triple MX champ dies

Former triple world motocross champion Gaston Rahier has died at the age of 58 after a long battle against illness.

Rahier won the 125cc world title three times on the trot – in 1975, 76 and 77.

He still holds the record for the most 125GP wins – 28.

After his motocross career he was a regular in the Paris-Dakar rally.
