David Knight has extended his lead of the British Enduro Championship with a win at the second round, the Brechfa Enduro.

The KTM rider was able to claim victory at the first one-day event of 2005, despite heavy rain promoting organisers to cut the event from five laps to four.

“My first and second laps went well. I got the the first part of the third lap really good, but than I caught four riders. I clipped a tree as I tried to pass one of them and had to follow for a while before I could get passed. When I;d passed those I came across two more lying on the ground,” said Knight.

“Lap four was great because I knew it was the last lap and I could start to have some fun and abuse my tyres. There were a load of riders stuck on the last hill, but I just pushed my way trhough and had about three minutes to spare at the checkpoint. The event was great fun to ride.”
