Superbike qualifying 1:

Sean Emmett has put his Virgin Mobile R1 on provisional pole for the second round of the 2005 Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Thruxton on Sunday, April 10.

Emmett competed 17 laps in the first qualifying session to put himself provisionally ahead of the Hondas of Karl Harris, Ryuichi Kiyonari and Michael Rutter. Big names currently struggling include McWilliams in 14th, Plater in 24th and reigning champion John Reynolds in 27th.
