Kagayama does the double at Oulton

1 of 1

Yukio Kagayama dominated race day at Oulton Park for the fourth round of the British Superbike championship, with only team-mate John Reynolds providing a challenge to the Japenese rider.

The two races mirrored each other with the same riders taking the top five places in the same order in both. The Rizla Suzuki riders dominated both races, fighting it out for the top spot right up to the line. Michael Rutter took third in both races on his Honda Fireblade but he just couldn’t keep the Suzukis in sight, finishing the first race 19.5 seconds down on Kagayama and the second race 13.5 second behind.

Dean Thomas took fourth place in both races on his Sendo Ducati while the Hawk Kawasaki ZX-10Rs of Scott Smart and Glen Richards took fifth and six in race one. Race two saw Smart take fifth again with Leon Haslam filling sixth for Renegade Ducati.
