Lampkin third in world Indoor title fight

Dougie Lampkin finished third in the 2004 World indoor trials championship – a poor performance by his high standards – after a disappointing fourth place in the final round at Riese, Germany, on Saturday, March 20.

It is the first time in eight years Lampkin has finished outside the top two in any world series.He said: ” This year I am glad to see the end of the indoor season for obvious reasons, and the outdoor championship can’t start soon enough. ” A crowd of around 4000 saw the action in Germany.Final Championship Standings: 1: Raga 102 (2004 Indoor World Champion), 2: Fujinami 71, 3: Lampkin 68, 4: Cabestany 61, 5: Freixa 52, 6: Jarvis 42Dougie Lampkin is next in action on Sunday, March 28 at round two of the Spanish Outdoor championship.
