Rio GP practice times

Valentino Rossi was the fastest rider in Friday’s free practice for the Rio MotoGP on Sunday.

His Yamaha was just ahead of the Honda’s of Nicky Hayden and Sete Gibernau. Home favourite Alex Barros is down in eighth.

The MotoGP race will now be held at 11.30am in Brazil (3.30pm BST) to avoid a clash with Sunday’s European Football Championship final.
