No Triumph ValMoto at 2004 TT
The factory-backed Triumph ValMoto team will not be competing at the 2004 Isle of Man TT, despite a victory in the Junior TT in 2003. That win, by New Zealander Bruce Anstey, was the firm’s first TT win for 28 years.
The decision is based on their focus on a one-rider British Supersport team for next season.
Team manager Jack Valentine said, ” Last year’s win was one of the crowning achievements of my career, but the aim of Triumph’s racing programme is to make an impact in the domestic series. Now that the initial development work is out of the way, and with Craig Jones signed for next season, I’m certain we can put a Triumph among the front runners. ”
