Yukio Kagayama finished 0.433 seconds faster than Rizla Suzuki team-mate John Reynolds in the practice sessions for this weekends British Superbike racing at Croft in north Yorkshire.

A wet first practice led to a damp circuit in the second session, with Kagayama posting a best time of 1:22.990 despite the conditions. Behind Reynolds, James Haydon was thrid fastest on the Yamaha R1, with Steve Plater fourth and Sean Emmett fifth.

“When we all have to learn track at same time I have advantage because I have been doing this for the past year,” said Kagayama. “Today not quite so wet as Knckhill, but still not comfortable and must put leathers over heaters to dry. Please no rain dances tonight, I want dry qualifying and races, this is much more fun riding.”
