McCarthy memorial

A memorial service for Kirk McCarthy takes place next Tuesday, 3pm August 31st at St Margaret’s Church, Stoke Golding, Warwickshire.

Donations can be made to The Royal Children’s Hospital, Flemington Road, Parkville, Melbourne, VIC 3052, Australia. McCarthy (35) died in hospital on Sunday, August 15 after a first-lap crash in an Australian Supersport Championship race. A former Australian Superbike Champion in 1995, McCarthy did a season in the World 500cc Championship in 1997 scoring nine top 15 finishes on a Yamaha YZR500 and finished runner-up in the British Supersport Championship in 2000 and 2001 riding for Castrol Honda.
