British Motocross on TV

The 2004 Maxxis British Motocross Championship will get television coverage on Channel 4 this year, starting with the opening round on August 12.

Each round will be the subject of a 24-minute programme of highlights, the first of which will be shown at 2.50am, with the remaining rounds getting a similar timeslot.

“While the timeslots are not ideal, it’s the first time everyone in the UK can watch the premier domestic motorcross series,” said Phil Armes of organisers PA Promotions. “With both World and British championships on Channel 4, this can only help lift the profile of motocross”.

Will you be watching the British championship on television? Do you think it will get a big enough audience to move to a better timeslot? Have Your Say, here.
