British superbike champion John Reynolds will be helping Humberside police launch their Bikesafe 2004 campaign on Thursday, April 29.

A police spokesman said ” He has agreed to help because of his strong views about motorcycle safety on public roads. To show his commitment to safety he has produced a video entitled “Fatal Attraction” in partnership with the Department for Transport. ”

At Thursday’s launch he will answer questions put to him by police motorcyclists and the invited media.

The campaign offers riders free assessment rides with police motorcyclists.

The first Bikesafe event is at 9am on Saturday May 1 at the Humber Bridge car park on the north bank. Anyone interested should book a session in advance by calling 07989 396795.
