Crockard led from the start of the first open race to take maximum points and seal the championship. In the second race he could only managed sixth. But the final Maxxis Cup race saw the two team-mates fighting it out for the top spot. Both riders fell in the closing laps but Coppins was the first back on his bike and stole the race win, with Crockard finishing just two seconds behind in second place.

Crockard’s closest championship rival Paul Cooper only managed seventh place behind Crockard’s first race win, losing him the championship despite, his second place behind Coppins in the second race.

In the 125cc class Stephen Sword demonstrated the form that let him clinch the 125 championship in the last round by winning both the 125cc races and being the highest placed 125 in the final Maxxis Cup race.
