Mallory managing director dies

Edwina Overend, the managing director of Mallory Park (Motorsport) Ltd, and the inspiration for ‘Edwina’s Chicane’ at the Leicestershire circuit, has died in hospital.

Mrs Overend passed away on Sunday, November 16 in Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield after a short illness. She became the managing director at Mallory Park in 1983.

She is survived by her son David and husband Ron.
