Have you won Cardiff Supercross tickets

1 of 1

The Millennium stadium in Cardiff will be transformed in to a full-on supercross track for the third round of the MCN backed Future West International Supercross championship.

Five lucky winners have each won a pair of tickets to the event. The winners are: Ian Bailey from Swansea, Evelyne Leprince from Harrow, Andrew White from Coventry, Rebecca Powell from Leigh-On-Sea and Benedict Laurence from Cardiff

In just 48 hours the stadium team will bring in 400 trucks and 8000 tonnes of earth to build the undulating track for the start of the practice session at 9am on Saturday November 22.

Stadium general manager Paul Sergeant said: “It is a real challenge for all those involved. We are used to removing and installing the pitch system, which is set up with the grass grown on removable pallets. We have built a race track here before for the British Speedway Grand Prix. But that is a flat track and there has usually been plenty of time to bring it in.

“This track has a lot more bumps, jumps and curves and we will be using four times as much soil. Together with the pressure of time, it means this is the biggest test of the flexibility and versatility of our venue to date.”

First practice starts at 9am, but doors won’t be open to the public till 6pm with the racing starting at 7pm. Tickets are £25 for adults and £13 for children and can be bought from the Millennium Stadium box office on 08705-582582.
