MonsterMob boss rallies to victory

MonsterMob boss Paul Bird took victory in the Specsavers Christmas Stages Rally, despite having his Hyundai Accent WRC less than a week.

Bird competed in the event, held at Croft Circuit, despite having only done a few miles of pre-event testing. Despite the lack of preparation, he was able to fight it out with the MG Metro 6R4 of runner-up John Bogie. Bird went into the final stage 4 seconds behind, but emerged the winner by the same margin.

His next outing with co-driver Larry Carter will be at the Kall Kwik rally in February.
