Suzuki-Kawasaki crosser to race

1 of 1

Suzuki and Kawasaki will field their shared prototype 250cc 4-stroke motocrosser in the All Japan Motocross Championship this season. Each firm will be running it’s own bike, one badged as a Kawasaki, the other as a Suzuki.

The prototype is the first new product to come out of the joint development programme the two companies announced in August 2001 and is expected to go in to production in September. It will be built at the Kawasaki factory in Japan but marketed separately by each company.

The entry in the JMX championship this April will be used as a final testing ground for the bike before it gets put into full production.
