First test for new Triumph racer

The new Triumph ValMoto team were out on the track at Croft on Thursday for the first test of their Daytona 600s in preparation for entry in the British Supersport Championship this season.

The team’s riders Jim Moodie and Craig Jones came away from the session pleased with the bike.

Jones said: ” Today was fantastic, I really enjoyed it. It’s a brilliant bike, the engine feels really strong and the chassis, suspension and brakes are excellent. I’m really happy with my times, and my mechanics are doing a great job to get the bike running so well. ”

Moodie went further, saying: ” There is no major work to do. I am just familiarising myself with the bike but to be honest it only needs minor adjustments and could race right now. ”
