Riba to British Supersport

Factory Kawasaki rider Pere Riba has been forced out of the World Supersport championship and will race in the UK in 2004.

Riba was set to ride in WSS next year but Kawasaki’s withdrawal from the series led Riba to look elsewhere. But the world championship’s loss will be Britain’s gain, with the factory rider spearheading Kawasaki’s assault on the British Supersport series with the MSS Kawasaki squad.

Riba said: ” At first I was very disappointed that Kawasaki stopped in World Supersport. But step by step the ride in the UK came together and now I am very excited because we have a new bike that is capable of winning the championship. ”
