Ernesto Fonseca gave Honda’s new four-stroke CRF250R crosser its first win when he debuted the bike at the final round of the Japanese National series at the Sportland circuit in Sugo.

The Costa Rican Team Honda star took the first 125cc moto, with Chad Reed on Yamaha’s new ally-framed YZ250F, also in its race premier, in second place.

The two were neck and neck throughout the race, and Reed scored the win in the second moto for an overall victory, with Fonseca some 30 seconds behind in the runner-up spot.
