Emmett joins Rutter at Renegade

Sean Emmett has sensationally signed a deal to ride for Renegade Racing on a 2002 WSB-spec Testastretta 998 next season.

Emmett told MCN: ” I’m over the moon to be back on a V-twin again! I had talks with Yamaha and Suzuki but I know how strong a package the Ducati is and this is the deal I wanted. ”

He’ll definitely ride alongside existing Renegade star Michael Rutter, but Shane Byrne who got three race wins for the team in 2002 might be on his way to replace Steve Hislop at MonsterMob Ducati.

Byrne is yet to confirm his plans, but the offer to ride in a three-man Renegade team is still on the table according to Renegade boss Marc Griffiths.
