Chili could be coming to BSB

Frankie Chili could be set to race in British Superbikes next year. And if that’s not incredible enough, Steve Hislop could be his teammate.

The veteran WSB star talks exclusively to MCN in the October 30 issue and you can read more of this interview on page 40.

Chili told MCN he’s willing to race in the UK, rather than hold out for a WSB ride that never comes off.

He said: ” I know there are many people in England who like me. I also know how many good riders there are in the British series.

” It would be best to stay in WSB, but the series is not looking so good ”

The potential to partner Hizzy could be fulfilled by Alastair Flanagan, boss of ETI Suzuki. Flanagan is rumoured to be switching to Ducatis for 2003 and is said to have approached both Chili and Hislop.

But there’s also the possibility of a ride with rival BSB squad Dienza Ducati, boss Enzo Di Clemente. Di Clemente is flying out to Italy to talk with Chili this week.
