Van den Bosch takes Supermoto title

Supermoto star Thierry van den Bosch has become the sports first ever world champion after taking his sixth win of the seven round FIM-backed series in Greece on Sunday.

The KTM rider can seal his season with another win at the final round in Broadford, Australia on November 17. Van den Bosch said: ” I’d love to win in Australia – it would be really special to win every round of the series. But the pressure will be huge. ”

With the huge success the world series has enjoyed in 2002, there are plans to expand it for 2003, with the possibility of rounds as far apart as the U.S. and New Zealand.
