Crawford fit for Donington

John Crawford has been given the all-clear by doctors to race in rounds five and six of the MCN-backed British Superbike championship at Donington Park.

Crawford had been temporarily replaced in his ETI Suzuki squad by David Jefferies after a huge crash in the first round at Silverstone left the Scot suffering dizzy spells.

Crawford told MCN: ” The scans have come back all clear and the doctors have given me the go ahead to race this weekend.

” Brands was the first race I had missed due to injury since 1994 – it was so frustrating just sitting at home knowing I should be putting in a good day at the office.

” The lads have been working so hard to make sure the bike is ready for me for Donington, all I want to do is get back on the bike and start my challenge for the 2002 Superbike championship. ”
