Premium Bonds: Triumph celebrate 60 years of Britain’s best-known spy with special Speed Triple RR

Triumph are celebrating 60 years of James Bond with a limited-edition version of their half-faired Speed Triple 1200 RR.

Priced at £21,995 and limited to 60 units worldwide, the ultra-rare Speeds are £4045 more than standard machine and mark the latest partnership between the two British brands, which began with the film No Time To Die and Triumph’s Tiger 900 and Scrambler 1200 featuring in action chase scenes.

Although the Speed Triple RR is yet to feature in a Bond film (perhaps this bike hints at a future starring role…) the pricey special is dressed in a black colour scheme complete with all 25 James Bond film titles on the tank. You also get 007 graphics and hand painted gold lining, which swoops along the lines of the minimalist bodywork.

But it doesn’t end there, with the gun barrel design of Bond’s opening film sequence laid out around the circular LED front headlight, plus gold Triumph logos on the petrol tank.

As a sign of authenticity, the bikes are individually numbered on the top yoke alongside a certificate of authenticity, hand-signed by Triumph’s CEO, Nick Bloor.

Being a Speed Triple 1200 RR, standard features include semi-active Öhlins finery, plus the same aluminium twin spar chassis and 178bhp 1160cc liquid-cooled, 12v, inline triple as the naked Speed Triple RS. More than enough for Bond to evade the next baddie.

Bikes became available to order through the Triumph website at 3.30pm on October 4, with each bike also receiving a special cover to keep the dust away between rides.
