Royal Enfield have released two special edition 650 twins – the Thunder Edition Continental GT 650 and Lightning Edition Interceptor 650.

These specials promise an added layer of practicality and include everything you need from the accessories catalogue to enjoy a weekend getaway in the case of the Thunder or a longer tour on the Lightning.

The café racer-inspired Thunder Edition has removable soft panniers, a dual touring seat, compact engine guards and sump guard, short, tinted fly screen and CNC machined bar-end mirrors and oil filler cap. It’s available in single-colour, two-colour or chrome finishes and will retail from £6659.

Royal Enfield Lightning Edition Interceptor 650

The Lightning has also had the parts catalogue thrown at it and features soft panniers, a touring seat, compact engine guards, aluminium sump guard, tall screen and CNC oil filler cap.

Like the Thunder it is available in the three colour options and prices start from £6459. Enfield say the Thunder and Lightning will be available at participating dealers ‘while stocks last’.
