Enfield Bullet Trials price announced

Royal Enfield have revealed the price for their new Bullet Trials Works Replica, which was first revealed in late May.

The authentically designed Bullet Trials will cost £4699 and uses the firm’s 500cc single-cylinder four-stroke motor, which produces a modest 27bhp.

But this bike is more about style than performance and it certainly looks the part. The bike is a tribute to the 1949 Bullet Trials ridden by Johnny Brittain who went on to win the International Six Days Trial twice.

Mark Wells, Enfield’s head of design and products, said: “Royal Enfield has a long and proud history of building resilient and enduring motorcycles and the Bullet is the most enduring of them all.

“This model is inspired by Johhny Brittain’s trials bike that won more than 50 championships between 1948 and 1965 and it is also a fitting tribute to our seminal design and engineering expertise that introduced the first swingarm in 1949 with the Bullet. I am confident that this motorcycle will be well received.”

The bikes also shares the standard Bullet’s frame and running gear, although the subframe is modified slightly to allow for more rear wheel travel.

Orders are being taken for the Bullet Trials now with deliveries expected to begin by the end of July.
