Dutch delight: MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR Assen limited edition unveiled

MV Agusta have launched a range-topping, limited-edition version of their Brutale 1000 RR to celebrate their Assen racing glories. MV have clinched 35 world championship victories at the ‘Cathedral of Speed’, including an epic 350 GP win for Giacomo Agostini in 1976.

The Italian firm announced the limited-edition machine at the Classic GP event at the Dutch track last weekend. Just 300 of the Brutale 1000 RR Assens will go on sale worldwide.

The bike is heavily based on the Brutale 1000 RR and uses the same 208bhp, 998cc, inline four motor. It will also share the base bike’s chassis and tips the scales at 197kg (kerb).

The blue, silver and gold paint is striking, while the carbon-fibre wheels and heat shields exude that top-end luxury feel. There’s a blue Alcantara upholstered seat and a two-tone blue, polished tank to complete the look.

There will be extras to choose from with Arrow tailpipes, CNC-machined brake and clutch levers pushing both posing power and price through the roof.

No official figure for the bike or the Special Part Kit extras have been released, but expect it to command a premium over the Brutale 1000 RR’s already rather salty £30k asking price.
