Alongside introducing a new 1078cc RSV4 1100 Factory superbike at Eicma in Milan, Aprilia have also introduced updates to their RSV4 RR litre-superbike.

Although the bike remains technically unchanged for 2019, the 198.2bhp RR is now available in two new colour schemes and is compatible with a new optional track kit.

Now available in two attractive new matte colour schemes – Rivazza grey and Arrabbiata black – on a black and grey base, complete with red wheel rims.

As well as new colours, a range of performance enhancing accessories are also available as part of the new track kit – catering for both the bike’s internal and external features.

Just one of these mods is a complete Akrapovic racing exhaust, which combines a carbon end can with specialist headers. This can then be combined with a track-dedicated ECU, which can be programmed with two racing maps and can only be fitted providing the standard exhaust has been replaced.

Full Öhlins suspension

Helping to keep the bike in line is an Öhlins TTX shock, steering damper and NIX forks, which allow for pre-load, hydraulic rebound and compression adjustments.

Covering these lap time-shaving accessories is an optional set of carbon fairings, mudguards and heel guards, all finished in an understated matt effect. As well as enhancing the sporty look, their lightweight construction lowers the overall weight of the bike, aiding performance traits such as handling, acceleration and braking distance.
