The KTM 790 Duke has been updated for 2025, with the 799cc LC8c parallel twin motor now tweaked to meet more stringent Euro5+ conditions.

Now priced at £7999 and available from dealers from the end of January, the naked bike comes with a four-year manufacturer warranty (up from two years) and is available in two new colour designs with a choice of orange or black bodywork.

Power sits at a claimed 93.7bhp at 8000rpm, meaning it can be restricted to meet an A2 licence, and the bike now gains a new five-inch TFT dash reminiscent of some larger, previous generation 1290 V-twin models.

The inclusion of the display gives riders access to the brand’s controversial ‘Demo Mode’ too, which unlocks all of the optional tech extras for the first 1500km, before switching them off for customers to decide what they’d like to then pay for and keep.

On top of this, the Duke comes with a six-stage anti-wheelie system, with backlit switchgear also helping to navigate the onboard menus.

As you’d expect on a modern KTM, three riding modes come as standard with additional customisable Track and Performance settings also available, too. As before, the bike remains built in China by KTM’s partners CFMoto – a move established for 2023.

Like the last generation Duke, the new 790 is suspended by WP Apex suspension at both ends, with a manageable seat height of 825mm which should be accommodating for both new and experienced riders.

It’s set to go up against rivals including the newly revised Yamaha MT-07, the Suzuki GSX-8S, and the new-look Honda CB750 Hornet.
